When I moved into my condo five years ago, I had a lot of wall space and a little bit of money. I spent every available penny I had on purchasing and furnishing the place. I threw up a few things that I didn't love and I've lived with it.
A prime example is the mirrored squares on the left. Meh. They're not the ugliest things I've seen but they're definitely not exciting. They filled this long narrow space next to the bar and for years, I've wondered how to replace them. With art? Another mirror? Nothing?
I've been searching intermittently but it's an oddly shaped area. After a lot of deliberation, I decided to look for a series of 8x8 prints. Do you know how difficult it is to find 8x8 prints that are original and well priced?
After a long search, I stumbled upon the website Society 6 which sells affordable art prints, t-shirts, canvases, and iphone cases. I know..it's a strange mix. I found it when I was looking for cool iphone cases. It has a million stylish choices in all of the categories. I found the four pieces on the right and the most expensive print was $24. I ordered the frames from pictureframes.com.
It's a small change but I love it! Next is new paint.
